Materials Warranty
A 10 year Materials Limited Warranty is available for the Ram ColdTar product. To receive this warranty, the applicator must provide the Barrett Company with their name and address, the distribution outlet where the material was purchased and a copy of the distributor invoice showing the purchase price, date and quantity. Additional information describing where, when and how the material was installed is also required. This warranty does not cover workmanship or conditions related to application or the existing roofs ability to remain watertight. There is no charge for this warranty.
Roof Restoration Systems Warranties
Over Gravel Surface Membranes - A restoration membrane installed over a gravel surfaced roof can qualify for a 5 year warranty that includes labor and materials to maintain watertightness. To obtain this warranty, the existing roof assembly must first be evaluated for moisture content and its overall general condition. If qualified, Barrett will specify the restoration specification required for the warranty. Upon the satisfactory completion of the work by a Barrett Approved Contractor, the warranty is issued to the contractor. There is a nominal charge for this warranty.
Over Granulated and Smooth Surface Membranes - The restoration of existing granulated and smooth surfaced roofs can qualify for a 5 year warranty that also covers watertightness. By installing one (1) ply of Barrett Ram 40 reinforcement between two (2) applications of Ram ColdTar, the warranty can be extended to 10 years. To obtain these warranties, the existing roof assembly must first be evaluated for moisture content and its overall general condition. If qualified, Barrett will specify the restoration procedures necessary to qualify for the warranty. Upon the satisfactory completion of the work by a Barrett Approved Contractor, the warranty is issued to the contractor. There is a nominal charge for watertightness warranties.
New Membrane Assembly Warranty
When Ram ColdTar is installed in a 3 or 4 ply configuration with Barrett Ram 40 ply sheets, the Ram ColdTar built-up membrane assembly can qualify for up to 20 years of watertight warranty coverage. All work must be in accordance with Barrett specifications. Upon the satisfactory completion of the work by a Barrett Approved Contractor, a warranty will be issued to the contractor. There is a nominal charge for this warranty.
