Modular Vegetative Green Roof System

Terra-TRAY™ features a robust structural design, adaptable depth options, strong interconnectivity, and outstanding stormwater management capabilities. In contrast to hybrid or subterranean modular and traditional layered systems, Terra-TRAY™ modules can be quickly removed and reinstalled for roof maintenance or repairs without disturbing the vegetation. The system is engineered for optimal stormwater performance and accommodates irrigation lines placed directly beneath the modules.

Offering exceptional versatility, Terra-TRAY™ modules come in four depth configurations to support a wide range of plant selections. They can be pregrown to achieve up to 95% plant coverage before delivery, ensuring an instantly lush, mature green roof that requires minimal initial maintenance and provides immediate visual appeal. Modules can also be custom-shaped with curves or angles to meet specific design requirements.

The original project scope of the Baltimore Convention Center called for the replacement of the existing roof membrane due to membrane failure and subsequent leaking into the Convention Center’s main halls below. Once the site was studied, the Barrett Company suggested that the Convention Center take advantage of the opportunity to upgrade the aesthetic and functional qualities of the Terrace with a Greenroof installation.
