Ram QuickFlash PMMA System

Cold Fluid Applied Polymethyl Methacrylate Roofing Membrane & Flashing System

The Ram QuikFlash® PMMA roofing system is a highly durable, cold liquid-applied membrane that cures in just one hour, making it ideal for rapid, same-day projects. It bonds strongly to almost all standard construction materials—including concrete, metals, and wood—and can be customized with either a smooth or textured decorative finish.

Cold Fluid Applied Polymethyl Methacrylate Roofing Membrane & Flashing System

The Ram QuickFlash® PMMA roofing system is a fully reinforced, cold liquid-applied membrane system. It is based primarily upon Polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) technology, incorporating a liquid component and a powdered catalyst, with each component curing in approximately one hour. A decorative PMMA finish can be applied as either a smooth color coating or a textured aggregate surfacing.

The Ram QuickFlash® PMMA same-day application is intended for use in roofing applications where quick-curing speed is of paramount importance. The system is exceptionally durable, reliable, long lasting, and has a combination of physical properties that makes it ideal for an exceptionally wide range of applications.

Bonds to Common Construction Materials

Ram QuickFlash® PMMA bonds tenaciously to all common construction materials including concrete, CMU block, brick, wood, stainless steel, copper, galvanized steel, aluminum, cast iron, glass, cement board, treated gypsum board, and rigid PVC.

Benefits of the Ram QuickFlash® PMMA System

Durable, Reliable, and Lasting Protection

A fully reinforced PMMA membrane built for long service life, with a combination of physical properties that suits an exceptionally wide range of roofing applications.

Each Component Cures Within One Hour

The liquid component and powdered catalyst each cure in roughly an hour, which makes same-day application possible where quick-curing speed is paramount.

High UV Protection & Elasticity

Strong ultraviolet resistance combined with elasticity, so the membrane holds up to sun exposure and movement without embrittling.

Optional Decorative Surfaces

Finish as either a smooth color coating or a textured aggregate surfacing, making the same system suitable for pedestrian areas, balconies and pool decks.

Fully Reinforced Membrane

PMMA Fleece is embedded between two coats of membrane, so the reinforcement is continuous through the field and up every flashing.

Bonds to Nearly Any Substrate

Adheres tenaciously to concrete, CMU block, brick, wood, stainless steel, copper, galvanized steel, aluminum, cast iron, glass, cement board, treated gypsum board and rigid PVC.

The original project scope of the Baltimore Convention Center called for the replacement of the existing roof membrane due to membrane failure and subsequent leaking into the Convention Center’s main halls below. Once the site was studied, the Barrett Company suggested that the Convention Center take advantage of the opportunity to upgrade the aesthetic and functional qualities of the Terrace with a Greenroof installation.
